Extraordinary Experiences
At CSIA, we believe that learning doesn’t just happen in the classroom. Our Extraordinary Experiences help students grow into confident, kind and capable young people. These are activities like after-school clubs, lunchtime activities, trips, and special events that build skills and character for life.
Clubs That Build Character
Our clubs are all about having fun, making friends and trying new things. They also help students build character – that means learning to be honest, kind, resilient, ambitious and respectful. These are the character traits that make someone stand out for university and employment, not just their grades.
- In Skate Club, students help each other learn new tricks, even if they’re still learning themselves. They show respect to staff at Mount Hawke Skate Park and keep trying, even when it’s tough. That’s called resilience, and it’s something we’re proud of.
- In Camborne Theatre Company, students act, sing, dance or help backstage in big shows like Mary Poppins and Annie. Showing resilience and ambition while supporting each other with altruism and respect. It’s a chance to dream big and take on new challenges with responsibility.
